1. Overview
Chart Vision provides trading-related tools, alerts, dashboards, and account features. This policy applies when you visit our website, install our app, create an account, subscribe to a paid plan, contact support, or otherwise interact with the services.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide directly
- Account details such as name, email address, and username.
- Profile information, settings, preferences, and uploaded images.
- Messages you send to support, feedback, and survey responses.
- Payment and subscription information if you purchase a plan.
- Any content you submit through forms, chat, or community tools.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser data, operating system, IP address, and locale.
- Usage data such as pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, and session length.
- Approximate location based on IP address or device settings.
- Notification tokens and app diagnostics, including crash logs and performance data.
- Cookie and similar technology data for web sessions and preferences.
Information from third parties
We may also receive information from third-party services that you connect to or that help us provide the service. In the current build, that primarily means Supabase for authentication, database storage, and file storage, plus push notification infrastructure when notifications are enabled. If payment processing, analytics, or social sign-in are added later, those providers would be disclosed here as well.
What permissions the current build requests
- Photo library access: We request access to your photo library when you choose a profile picture. The app uses that permission only to let you pick and upload an avatar.
- Push notifications: The codebase includes push notification support, but native push is disabled by default in the current build. If it is enabled later, the app will ask for permission so it can deliver alerts, announcements, and account-related messages.
- What we do not request in the current codebase: We do not currently request camera, microphone, location, contacts, Bluetooth, or background location permissions.
- Web behavior: The web build does not request native push permissions. Browser cookies or local storage may still be used for session and preference management.
Where your data is stored
The app stores and retrieves data through Supabase services. Based on the current codebase, that includes authenticated user records, profile data, notification records, support tickets, trades, signals, results, saved items, bookmarks, push-token records, and uploaded profile images in the avatars storage bucket. Email/password authentication is currently the active sign-in method; Google and Apple sign-in are disabled in this build, so we do not currently collect profile data from those providers.
If you later add a landing page or other public-facing pages, those pages should be reviewed separately so the policy stays aligned with the final feature set.
